San Francisco

The GreenLight Fund operates in Boston, where it was founded, and in Philadelphia and the San Francisco Bay Area. Led by a local Executive Director and guided by a local Selection Advisory Council, each region runs its own process to identify local needs and select portfolio organizations that can meet these needs.

GreenLight envisions a growing national network of local GreenLight Funds that find and spread nonprofit solutions that can make the greatest, most needed impact in cities and regions around the country.

GreenLight Fund invests in the entire region that makes up the San Francisco Bay Area, including the three major metropolitan areas of Oakland, San Francisco and San Jose, as well as communities in the nine counties surrounding the Bay: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma.
